Australian Financial Literacy Assessment (AFLA)

Welcome to the 2009 Australian Financial Literacy Assessment.

AFLA is an initiative of the Commonwealth Bank Foundation and is developed and delivered by Educational Assessment Australia (EAA). AFLA offers information for students, teachers and parents on students' financial literacy.

The Assessment is available for students in Years 9 and 10, and includes a wide range of questions based on practical and real-life situations. See some example questions here.

AFLA is available in two parts. A Pre-learning Assessment to determine students' strengths and weaknesses early in the school year, and a Post-learning Assessment to chart growth and learning in financial literacy over the course of the year.

SITTING DATES
Pre-learning Assessment period:16 February 2009 - 26 June 2009 (extended)
Post-learning Assessment period:13 July 2009 - 6 November 2009
